Akal Takht Jathedar gave instructions to SGPC if guilty employees go to court, then be ready to take legal action

SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh said that if any convicted SGPC employee files a lawsuit, the provisions available under SGPC law will be used to fight back. On October 13, SGPC President Gobind Singh Longowal wrote a letter to Giani Harpreet Singh, asking him to take action against the guilty persons.

On 23 October Giani Harpreet Singh was given a reply in SGPC, while instructing to register a case against the guilty persons and constitute a sub-committee to follow the legal discourse.

Giani Harpreet Singh has made a special direction to the SGPC for deploying only experienced lawyers to fight a legal battle against those held guilty for missing saroops by the Advocate Ishar Singh led investigation committee.

It is learned that the SGPC has also been directed to include members of some Sikh organizations in the sub-committee to be constituted for following up the legal discourse against guilty persons.

It is pertinent to note here that the apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee is already facing Sikh ire due to its attitude on this sensitive issue.

During the past few weeks, SGPC has tried to torpedo ongoing peaceful protest by launching brutal attacks on Sikh activists twice.
