In Pakistan, an anti-terrorism court on Thursday sentenced the top three leaders of the banned Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JUD) to 16 years in prison. Those sentenced also include a relative of Mumbai terror attack conspirator Hafiz Saeed.
The Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore convicted Saeed’s relatives Hafiz Abdul Rahman Makki, Zafar Iqbal, and Mohammad Ashraf in two more cases for providing funds for terrorist activities. All these were present in the court. During this time, there were strong security arrangements in the court premises.
